- The Frame 800SS widens the Frame Series to a 1016mm linear opening while keeping the lowest fuel draw in the range, a deliberate trade of flame height for burn time rather than a step up in size for its own sake.

Design & Build:
- Same zero-clearance stud-frame construction and toughened glass fire screen as the rest of the Frame range, built around a Grade 304 stainless XL500 burner. At 11,430 BTU/h (12.06 MJ/h) it runs cooler than the 600SS despite the wider glass.

What it does well:
- That lower output stretches a 5-litre fill to 10-13 hours, the longest burn time of any Frame size relative to its tank capacity, useful if you want the fire running through a full evening without a mid-way refuel. At 38kg it’s still a two-person, not a crane, installation.

Trade-off worth knowing:
- It's the lowest thermal output in the whole Frame range, lower even than the smaller 600SS's 13,000 BTU/h, so its 80m³ rating is only modestly ahead of the smaller 600SS’s 70m³, not a big jump for the extra width. If heat output matters more than burn time, the 1000SS delivers more warmth from a similarly sized opening.

Does the Frame 800SS need a chimney or flue?
No. It runs on bioethanol, which burns clean with no smoke, embers or soot, so there is nothing to vent. It frames into a wall or opening with zero clearance to combustibles - no masonry chimney, gas line or flue required.
Can the Frame 800SS be used both indoors and outdoors?
Yes, it is rated for both. Indoors it needs a room of at least 80m³.
How is the Frame 800SS installed?
It frames directly into a stud wall (wood or metal) or an existing hearth opening, with zero clearance to combustibles required around the frame. There is no gas line, flue or masonry work: once the opening is framed to size, the unit drops in and connects to nothing else. At 38kg it is a two to four-person lift into place depending on the model; check the exact figure on this page before planning your install.
What does the Frame 800SS actually cost to run for an evening?
A full 5 litre fill burns for 10-13 hours. We sell e-NRG bioethanol at £65 for a 20 litre carton, so a full fill is about £16 and a three-hour evening works out at roughly £4 to £5. There is no standing cost, since it only uses fuel while it is alight.
