The Brann Tall is the standing-height Brann, at 550 x 550 x 1200 mm. It puts the flame at chest height rather than knee height, which is what you want around a bar area or where people are standing with a drink rather than sitting low around a table.

The Brann Tall comes in Corten or aluminium, and the two answer the same question differently. Corten is weathering steel that forms a protective rust-coloured patina and holds it for 20 to 30 years, so the Brann Tall looks progressively more settled in the garden. Aluminium is corrosion-resistant from the day it arrives, never needs coating, is the lighter of the two to move, and holds no patina at all. The trade-off is weight: the mass that makes the Corten Brann Tall feel permanent is the same mass that makes it awkward to reposition. Choose Corten if the table is staying put and you want it to weather; choose aluminium if you want a fixed appearance from day one or you expect to move it. The one thing to plan for is the Brann Tall's first season: Corten bleeds orange run-off onto pale paving while it patinates, and on porous stone that can leave a permanent mark, so settle where it stands before you light it. The Brann range is gas-fired with electric ignition, so it lights instantly, has no ash to clear and can be turned off when you go in.
