Quick verdict
The wood-fired plancha in Adezz's Seare range: Ø1005mm x H1000mm, 144.5kg, with a 10mm S235 steel cooking plate reaching 275-300°C in 25-30 minutes. Built for cooks who want the fire itself as part of cooking, not just instant heat -- the gas-fired Seare Halo Piezo is the equivalent piece for weeknight speed.

The Adezz Seare Halo turns the act of cooking outdoors into the centrepiece of an evening. Imagine a Saturday in late spring, friends drifting onto the patio, the SEARE ring already at temperature, a wood storage compartment built into the base waiting for the next log. This is a serious outdoor kitchen, dressed in Corten steel with bamboo detailing.
Heat is what makes the difference. The SEARE ring distributes warmth evenly across a 10mm thick S235 steel grill plate, which retains temperature well enough for proper searing. The grill can sit flush with the ring or be raised above it, giving you separate cooking zones without faff. An inward-sloping ring stops oil and liquids dripping into the fire.
Built from durable Corten steel, the Seare Halo is pre-weathered with a natural rust layer that protects the structure beneath. Dimensions are Ø1005 x H1000mm, weighing 144.5kg, with a cooking temperature of 275 to 300°C reached in 25 to 30 minutes. Easy to clean, simple to maintain with light oiling, and backed by a five-year guarantee.
For garden cooks who want to retire the gas barbecue, this is the upgrade. See the rest of the outdoor cooking range.
Seare Halo Wood Fired Plancha Grill With Wood Storage questions, answered
What are the dimensions and weight of the Seare Halo Wood Fired Plancha Grill With Wood Storage?+
Dimensions: Ø1005 x H1000 mm, Thickness: 2 mm, Weight: 144.5 kg.
How does the Seare Halo Wood Fired Plancha Grill With Wood Storage work, what fuel does it use?+
It burns wood. The SEARE ring holds and distributes heat across a 10mm S235 steel grill plate, reaching a 275–300°C cooking temperature in 25 to 30 minutes.
What’s included with the Seare Halo Wood Fired Plancha Grill With Wood Storage, and what do I need to add separately?+
Store it in a dry place after use, or cover it with the cover plate.
Does the Seare Halo Wood Fired Plancha Grill With Wood Storage need any special care as the Corten steel weathers?+
We do not recommend using corten steel within 2 km of a coastline. Rust can be fixed by applying Owatrol. This is a penetrating rust inhibitor that forms a protective anti-rust coating. Owatrol protects the product and stops the rust on corten steel flaking off.
How is the Seare Halo Wood Fired Plancha Grill With Wood Storage delivered, and how long does it take?+
We deliver Free to mainland United Kingdom within 5 to 10 working days. Additional charges may apply for remote areas in Scotland, Wales, Devon and Cornwall. Larger items are delivered on a pallet, kerbside, the driver isn’t required to carry it past obstacles like steps, so let us know at checkout if your access is tricky.
What warranty does the Seare Halo Wood Fired Plancha Grill With Wood Storage come with?+
It’s backed by Adezz’s 5-Year Manufacturer Guarantee. On top of that, Fireside Boutique’s standard policy is 45-day returns on unused items in their original packaging (you cover return shipping on a non-faulty return, which is worth weighing up given the weight of these pieces).
Which Adezz outdoor cooking piece is the Seare Halo (wood)?+
The Seare Halo is the wood-fired plancha, Ø1005 x H1000 mm and 144.5 kg. It is the piece to choose if the fire itself is part of the cooking: you build and manage a wood fire under the steel ring, which takes longer to bring up than gas but gives you the smoke and the spectacle.
| Model | Fuel | Size | Weight | Price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Seare Halo (wood) (this one) | Wood | Ø1005 x H1000 mm | 144.5 kg | From £1,895 |
| Seare Halo Piezo (gas) | Gas | Ø805 or Ø1005 x H1000 mm | 135 to 182.5 kg | From £2,095 |
| Seare Bole | Wood | Ø805 x H1000 mm | 129 kg | From £1,695 |
| Cosa | Wood | Ø635 x H600 mm | 39 kg | From £939 |
| Damm | Wood | 700 x 900 x 2000 mm | 146 kg | From £1,475 |
Wood-fired or gas-fired plancha: which should you choose?+
A wood-fired plancha asks you to build and manage a fire before you cook, which takes longer and gives you smoke, flame and the ritual of it. A gas-fired plancha lights on a piezo spark and comes up to temperature without logs or ash, which is what makes weeknight cooking realistic. Adezz makes both in the same Seare Halo body, so the decision is purely how much effort you want the cooking to ask of you: the wood Seare Halo at £1,895, or the Seare Halo Piezo at £2,095.
Is Corten or stainless steel better for an outdoor cooking piece?+
Adezz builds the Seare Halo (wood) in Corten, not stainless, and the two age in opposite directions. Corten is weathering steel: it forms a stable rust-coloured oxide layer that then protects the metal beneath, and the Seare Halo (wood) holds that russet colour for 20 to 30 years with no painting and no winter storage. Brushed stainless instead keeps the finish it arrived with and never patinates, which suits a contemporary terrace of glass, render and pale stone, though it wants an occasional wipe to stay that way. Choose the Seare Halo (wood), which is Corten, if you want the piece to settle into the garden and read as part of it; if a fixed silver finish matters more, our stainless fire pit guide covers the alternatives we stock. The one thing to plan for is the Seare Halo (wood)'s first season: Corten bleeds orange run-off onto pale paving while it patinates, and on porous stone that can leave a permanent mark, so settle its position before you light it. Our fire pit materials guide sets out how each material ages.
Plancha, pizza oven or fire pit: which Adezz piece cooks what?+
A plancha is a solid steel cooking plate heated from beneath, so it handles fish, vegetables and anything that would fall through a grill bar. The Dome pizza oven is a closed wood-fired chamber for pizza and bread instead. A plain fire pit like the Halo is for the fire rather than the food. If you want one piece that does fire and cooking on a small patio, the Cosa at £939 is the compact answer.

Key Points of Interest
Key Points of Interest
- Products should be unpacked immediately upon receipt to release any moisture trapped inside the packaging. This moisture can cause stains that are difficult to remove.
- The grill functions optimally after it has been used once or twice, allowing the oil to 'season' the plate. Allowing the oil to 'burn in' protects the grill from rusting when not in use and makes cooking easier.
- After use, store in a dry place or cover with our cover plate.
- We do not recommend using corten steel within 2 km of a coastline.
- We recommend using vegetable oils with a higher smoke point, such as groundnut oil or sunflower oil, to cook on the grill plate.
- If left untreated, bamboo will turn grey naturally over time as a result of UV radiation. Note: To preserve the deep colour of the bamboo, treat it with a protector as soon as possible after installing the outdoor kitchen.
- The weathering process may cause rust run-off.
- Rust can be fixed by applying Owatrol. This is a penetrating rust inhibitor that forms a protective anti-rust coating. Owatrol protects the product and stops the rust on corten steel flaking off.
- Clean annually by hosing off dirt with clean tap water.
