Quick verdict
Adezz's entry-level outdoor fireplace: a double-walled firebox with a log store built into the base, 500mm x 500mm x 1000mm, 93kg, in Corten or Coated steel. A single fixed size -- no sizing decision to make. The most affordable of Adezz's four outdoor fireplaces (with the Digna, Gap and Enok), and an optional grill converts it into a barbecue.

The Adezz Stig is what you reach for when the firepit no longer feels like enough. This is an outdoor fireplace, designed as the architectural anchor of a patio rather than a portable accessory. Picture a settled Sunday evening in October, the fire drawn up the body of the Stig, a stack of wood tucked into the compartment in the base, the lines of the structure clean enough to suit a modern garden and warm enough for a traditional one.
Built from 3mm thick steel with a double-walled firebox for better heat retention and safety, the Stig comes in two finishes. Corten steel develops an orange-brown patina over time, a protective rust layer that prevents further corrosion and reads as deliberate. Black Coated steel has a heat-resistant, rust-proof coating for owners who prefer a darker, more uniform look from day one.
An optional grill can be added to convert the Stig into a stylish BBQ, useful if outdoor cooking is part of the picture. The flue pipe and rain cap are not included as standard but can be added to the order.
A serious piece for a serious garden. See the rest of the outdoor fireplace range.
Finish: Available in Corten steel or Coated steel finish.

Should I choose Corten or Coated steel for the Stig Outdoor Fireplace With Wood Compartment?+

Outdoor fireplace or fire pit: which is better for a UK garden?+
An outdoor fireplace and a fire pit are not interchangeable, and the Stig is the fireplace side of that choice. A fireplace stands upright with a flue, so it draws smoke up and away and throws heat forward from a single opening, which makes it a focal point against a wall or at the end of a terrace. A fire pit sits low and open, radiating in every direction, so people can sit all the way round it. Choose a fireplace when the seating faces one way and smoke drifting across the table is the thing to avoid; choose a pit when the fire itself is the centre of the circle. If the fire is meant to sit in the middle of the seating instead, the Halo fire pit and Quad fire table are the open-format alternatives.
Corten or coated steel: which should you choose?+
The Stig comes in Corten or coated steel: the same 3mm body, finished two ways, and the choice is whether you want it to change. Corten is weathering steel, forming a stable rust-coloured oxide layer that protects the metal beneath and holds that russet look for 20 to 30 years with no painting. Coated steel keeps the Stig the colour it arrived in, which is the right answer when it has to match existing dark metalwork or when an orange transition would fight the planting. Coated finishes hold up well outdoors provided you keep a cover on the piece over the off-season. For most British gardens the Corten Stig is the lower-maintenance default; pick the coated one when a fixed colour matters more than a weathered one. The one thing to plan for is the Stig's first season: Corten bleeds orange run-off onto pale paving while it patinates, and on porous stone that can leave a permanent mark, so settle the position before you light it. Our fire pit materials guide and rust-proof fire pit guide both cover how the finishes age.
