Adezz Forma Hexagonal Steel Fire Pit

Dimensions: 1154 x 1000 x 272 mm, Thickness: 2 mm, Weight: 26 kg.

It burns wood as an open fire bowl. A built-in air intake at the base feeds the fire for cleaner, more efficient burning.

It’s supplied as the hexagonal bowl itself, with the built-in base air intake, no additional accessories are bundled in.

We deliver Free to mainland United Kingdom within 5 to 10 working days. Additional charges may apply for remote areas in Scotland, Wales, Devon and Cornwall. Larger items are delivered on a pallet, kerbside, the driver isn’t required to carry it past obstacles like steps, so let us know at checkout if your access is tricky.

It’s backed by Adezz’s 5-Year Manufacturer Guarantee. On top of that, Fireside Boutique’s standard policy is 45-day returns on unused items in their original packaging (you cover return shipping on a non-faulty return, which is worth weighing up given the weight of these pieces).

The Forma is the sculptural Adezz fire pit, 1154 x 1000 x 272 mm in 2mm steel and only 26 kg, light enough for one person to move, and its asymmetric form is meant to read as an object in the garden when there is no fire in it.

The Forma is a fire pit bowl. A fire pit bowl sits low and open and radiates in every direction, so the fire is the centre of the circle and people pull chairs up to it. An Adezz fire table like the Quad puts the same fire inside a surface you can also set a glass or a plate down on, which matters when the fire has to share the space with food and drinks. Choose the pit if you want the fire itself and the flexibility to move it; choose the table if it is doubling as furniture.

An outdoor fireplace and a fire pit are not interchangeable, and the Forma is the fire pit side of that choice. A fireplace stands upright with a flue, so it draws smoke up and away and throws heat forward from a single opening, which makes it a focal point against a wall or at the end of a terrace. A fire pit sits low and open, radiating in every direction, so people can sit all the way round it. Choose a fireplace when the seating faces one way and smoke drifting across the table is the thing to avoid; choose a pit when the fire itself is the centre of the circle. Adezz makes upright fireplaces too, including the Stig from £645.

Adezz builds the Forma in Corten, not stainless, and the two age in opposite directions. Corten is weathering steel: it forms a stable rust-coloured oxide layer that then protects the metal beneath, and the Forma holds that russet colour for 20 to 30 years with no painting and no winter storage. Brushed stainless instead keeps the finish it arrived with and never patinates, which suits a contemporary terrace of glass, render and pale stone, though it wants an occasional wipe to stay that way. Choose the Forma, which is Corten, if you want the bowl to settle into the garden and read as part of it; if a fixed silver finish matters more, our stainless fire pit guide covers the alternatives we stock. The one thing to plan for is the Forma's first season: Corten bleeds orange run-off onto pale paving while it patinates, and on porous stone that can leave a permanent mark, so settle where it sits before you light it. Our fire pit materials guide and rust-proof fire pit guide both set out how each material ages.
