- Be is a two-sided corner fireplace, tall and slim at 1345mm, built to sit in a corner and show flame on two adjoining faces rather than one. Body colour, Black or White, is a free choice; a black ceramic-coated burner is a separate £300 upgrade over the standard stainless burner.

Design & Build:
- Stainless steel construction with two glass viewing faces, running on the same AB3 burner as most of the Designer range. The standard burner delivers 5,800 BTU/h (6.1 MJ/h); the black ceramic burner upgrade delivers the same output in a different finish.

What it does well:
- The two-sided glass means it reads as a feature from two rooms or two sides of an open-plan space at once, not just one. It runs 8 to 11 hours on a 2.5-litre fill and is rated for a 40m³ room.

Trade-off worth knowing:
- At 1345mm tall and designed specifically for a corner, it needs the right architectural spot to make sense; it won't read the same way freestanding in open floor space the way the Ghost or Orbit do. The black ceramic burner is a genuine £300 upgrade, not a free finish choice like the body colour.

Be questions, answered
Does the Be need a chimney or flue?
No. It runs on bioethanol, which burns clean with no smoke, embers or soot, so there is nothing to vent. It is entirely freestanding and needs no installation of any kind.
Can the Be be used outdoors?
No, this model is rated for indoor use only. It needs a room of at least 40m³.
How is the Be installed?
It isn't installed in the usual sense: it arrives assembled, ready to place on a floor, table or hearth and fuel up. There is no fixing, wiring or building work.
What does the Be actually cost to run for an evening?
A full 2.5 litre fill burns for 8-11 hours. We sell e-NRG bioethanol at £65 for a 20 litre carton, so a full fill is about £8 and a three-hour evening works out at roughly £2 to £3. There is no standing cost, since it only uses fuel while it is alight.
How does Be compare to the other freestanding Designer pieces?
Be is the only two-sided corner piece in the Designer range, built to show flame on two adjoining faces at once from a fixed corner position. Ghost is a freestanding, all-glass room divider that works from any angle; Orbit gives a 360-degree view; Igloo is the highest-output of the four. Choose Be specifically if you have a corner spot the others are not built for.
Which fuel does the Be burn, and do you sell it?
It runs on e-NRG bioethanol, which we stock in 20 litre cartons. Bioethanol produces no smoke, embers or ash, so there is nothing to clean out after use.
Are there any accessories that fit the Be?
Yes. Its AB3 burner takes the AB3 Lid and AB3 Lid Black, sold separately.
Is the Be certified for indoor use?
Yes. This model is certified to EN 16647, the UK and EU safety standard for indoor bioethanol fireplaces.
Who the Be is for
It is a good fit if:
- You have a corner spot and want the fire to read as a feature from two rooms, or two sides of an open-plan space, at once.

Consider something else if:
