Pop 8T questions, answered
Does the Pop 8T need a chimney or flue?
No. It runs on bioethanol, which burns clean with no smoke, embers or soot, so there is nothing to vent. It is entirely freestanding and needs no installation of any kind.
Can the Pop 8T be used both indoors and outdoors?
Yes, it is rated for both. Indoors it needs a room of at least 116m³.
How is the Pop 8T installed?
It isn't installed in the usual sense: it arrives assembled, ready to place on a floor, table or hearth and fuel up. There is no fixing, wiring or building work.
What does the Pop 8T actually cost to run for an evening?
A full 8 litre fill burns for 7-9 hours. We sell e-NRG bioethanol at £65 for a 20 litre carton, so a full fill is about £26 and a three-hour evening works out at roughly £9 to £11. There is no standing cost, since it only uses fuel while it is alight.
Should I choose the Pop 8T or the 8L?
Both run the identical AB8 burner at 20,433 BTU/h with the same 116m³ rating and 7-9 hour burn time - fuel performance is identical. The 8T stands 996mm tall for the most presence in the range; the 8L is 800mm. A smaller room may suit the lower-profile 8L better.
Which fuel does the Pop 8T burn, and do you sell it?
It runs on e-NRG bioethanol, which we stock in 20 litre cartons. Bioethanol produces no smoke, embers or ash, so there is nothing to clean out after use.
Are there any accessories that fit the Pop 8T?
Yes. Its AB8 burner takes the AB8 Lid and AB8 Efficiency Ring, sold separately.
