- The Pop 8L steps up from the 3-series to EcoSmart’s AB8 burner, more than three times the heat output of the Pop 3L and 3T in the same cube-with-log-storage design.

Design & Build:
- Steel cube construction available in Black, White, Orange or Yellow at the same price. The AB8 burner delivers 20,433 BTU/h (21.56 MJ/h) from an 8-litre tank, against the 3-series’ 5,800 BTU/h.

What it does well:
- Rated for a 116m³ room, nearly three times the 3-series' 40m³, so it's a genuine heat source rather than an accent piece. It's Indoor or Outdoor rated, the same flexibility as the smaller Pop sizes.

Trade-off worth knowing:
- Burn time is 7 to 9 hours per fill, shorter than the 3-series' 8 to 11 hours, the trade-off for the much higher output. At 25.1kg it's also heavier to reposition than the 3-series.

Pop 8L questions, answered
Does the Pop 8L need a chimney or flue?
No. It runs on bioethanol, which burns clean with no smoke, embers or soot, so there is nothing to vent. It is entirely freestanding and needs no installation of any kind.
Can the Pop 8L be used both indoors and outdoors?
Yes, it is rated for both. Indoors it needs a room of at least 116m³.
How is the Pop 8L installed?
It isn't installed in the usual sense: it arrives assembled, ready to place on a floor, table or hearth and fuel up. There is no fixing, wiring or building work.
What does the Pop 8L actually cost to run for an evening?
A full 8 litre fill burns for 7-9 hours. We sell e-NRG bioethanol at £65 for a 20 litre carton, so a full fill is about £26 and a three-hour evening works out at roughly £9 to £11. There is no standing cost, since it only uses fuel while it is alight.
Should I choose the Pop 8L or the 8T?
Both run the identical AB8 burner at 20,433 BTU/h with the same 116m³ rating and 7-9 hour burn time. The 8L stands 800mm tall; the 8T steps up to 996mm for more presence. Pick on height, not output.
Which fuel does the Pop 8L burn, and do you sell it?
It runs on e-NRG bioethanol, which we stock in 20 litre cartons. Bioethanol produces no smoke, embers or ash, so there is nothing to clean out after use.
Are there any accessories that fit the Pop 8L?
Yes. Its AB8 burner takes the AB8 Lid and AB8 Efficiency Ring, sold separately.
Is the Pop 8L certified for indoor use?
Yes. This model is certified to EN 16647, the UK and EU safety standard for indoor bioethanol fireplaces.

It is a good fit if:
