- Concrete Composite top in Natural, Graphite or Bone with a Stainless Steel Grade 304 surround. Built to take either of two different fire screens depending on where you place it, so the same table adapts to a corner position or an open one.

Fuel:
- Three fuel options: Bioethanol for indoor or outdoor use, or Liquid Propane and Natural Gas for outdoor use only. Bioethanol delivers 6kW (20,433 BTU/h) with a 7 to 9 hour burn from 8 litres. Gas runs hotter, up to 65,000 BTU/h: Liquid Propane lasts 8 to 20 hours per tank, Natural Gas burns for as long as you leave it on.

- Its 95cm footprint and raised profile suit balconies and verandahs the larger Gin 90 and Daiquiri 70 tables in this range are too big for.

Trade-off worth knowing:
- At 83kg it's a two-person lift, and because it takes two different screen shapes depending on placement, you'll need to pick the right one for your spot rather than a single one-size-fits-all screen.
Natural Gas requires professional installation: a certified plumber must fit a permanent gas connection before use. This installation is not included in the price and is not arranged by us; it is the customer's responsibility. Liquid Propane needs no installation and runs from an external tank.
Chaser 38 questions, answered
Can the Chaser 38 be used indoors?
Yes, on bioethanol. It needs a room of at least 116m³ (4,097 ft³). The Liquid Propane and Natural Gas versions are for outdoor use only.
How is the Chaser 38 delivered, and will I need help getting it into place?
Delivery is free to UK mainland, and it comes on a pallet to the easiest access point on your property, usually the driveway or the front of the house. It is not brought inside, unpacked or assembled. Plan on two people to move it the last stretch. It weighs 83kg and is 95cm x 95cm across. If access is tight, message us before ordering and we will talk it through.
What does the Chaser 38 actually cost to run for an evening?
On bioethanol: a full 8 litre fill burns for 7-9 hours. We sell e-NRG bioethanol at £65 for a 20 litre carton, so a full fill is about £26 and a three-hour evening works out at roughly £9 to £11. There is no standing cost, since it only uses fuel while it is alight. Liquid Propane and Natural Gas running costs depend on your tank/meter supplier, so we cannot quote a fixed figure for those.
Does the Chaser 38 need professional installation?
Only the Natural Gas version. That needs a certified plumber to fit a permanent gas connection before use; the installation is not included in the price and is not arranged by us. Bioethanol and Liquid Propane need no installation, and Liquid Propane runs from an external tank you can disconnect and move.
What is the difference between the Chaser 38 and the Pod 40?
Both run the AB8 burner at almost the same height (50.9cm and 50.4cm), so heat and running cost are identical. Chaser 38 is a square block with a flat tabletop; Pod 40 is a round, raised bowl with no flat surface.
Which fuel does the Chaser 38 burn, and do you sell it?
The bioethanol version runs on e-NRG bioethanol, which we stock in 20 litre cartons. Bioethanol produces no smoke, embers or ash, so there is no flue and nothing to clear out afterwards.
Can I leave the Chaser 38 outside all year?
Yes. The concrete composite is made to handle a full UK outdoor season; a twice-yearly coat of clear polymer sealer keeps it looking new (see the manufacturer's care guide).
Who the Chaser 38 is for
It is a good fit if:
- You want a flat tabletop raised to bowl height, taller than our standard AB8 tables.
- You want a geometric, architectural block form rather than a sculptural bowl.
Consider something else if:
- You want a sculptural centrepiece instead of a flat-topped table: the Pod 40 stands at a similar height in a raised bowl form.
- Your room is smaller than 116m³ (4,097 ft³) and you want to burn it indoors. Outdoors there is no room-size requirement at all.
How this compares to the Pod 40
Chaser 38 and Pod 40 stand at almost the same height (50.9cm and 50.4cm), taller than every other AB8 table in our range, and run the same burner, so heat and running cost are identical. The difference is form: Chaser 38 is a square block with a flat tabletop, Pod 40 a raised round bowl with no flat surface.
