The BonFeu BonBowl Plus is a Corten steel firepit built to be moved. Picture a Sunday afternoon in spring, deciding the firepit ought to live closer to the bench this season. The BonBowl lifts on integrated handles, settles on its four legs anywhere you put it, and starts working as soon as the wood goes in.
Three diameters are offered: 60cm for a small patio, 80cm for a typical garden, 100cm for entertaining at scale. The seamless body is decorated with a quiet cut-out logo, a touch that reads as considered rather than branded. A raised rim keeps ash and stray wood contained, while four drainage holes prevent water collecting in the bowl when it rains.
Construction is 3mm thick CortenSteel, an alloy of iron, copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel and chromium engineered to weather rather than corrode. The natural rust-coloured oxide layer that forms across the first year shields the metal beneath, eliminating the need for painting and leaving the BonBowl looking handsome rather than tired.
An honest piece of garden engineering. See more Corten steel firepits.
Finish: Finished in Corten Steel.

BonBowl Plus questions, answered
Can I use the BonBowl Plus in a UK smoke control area?+
Yes. It's a standalone outdoor appliance, and the Clean Air Act's smoke control rules only tighten for fires flued into a building - a summerhouse chimney, for example. Burn Ready to Burn certified, or otherwise well-seasoned and properly dried, logs and it's legal to use on any UK postcode, smoke control area or not. Excessive smoke from any fire can still count as a statutory nuisance if it genuinely bothers neighbours, so dry wood matters either way.
Do the legs on the BonBowl Plus mean I don't need a mat underneath it?+
No, we'd still recommend one. The legs lift the bowl clear of the surface, which helps, but a fire bowl runs hot enough that a heat-resistant mat or paving slab underneath is still worth it on decking, grass or anything you'd rather not scorch.
How is the BonBowl Plus delivered, and will I need help placing it?+
Free UK mainland delivery, next working day if you order before 12pm on a weekday. Weight depends on size: from 9.5kg on the 60cm (one person can carry it into place without help.) up to 23.4kg on the 100cm (plan on two people for the last stretch from the pallet to its final spot.) - the built-in handles make the carry itself easier even where two people are needed.
Will the Corten steel need any looking after?+
Not really. It arrives raw silver-grey and starts to rust within a few weeks outdoors; the patina matures over roughly 6 to 12 months into a stable, deep rust-brown that doesn't rust through, so there's nothing to paint or seal.
Does rust from the Corten stain the paving underneath?+
It can, especially during the first weathering months when rain carries a little rust runoff off the surface. If you have pale paving or decking, standing the bowl on a plinth, gravel bed or heat mat avoids staining as well as protecting the surface from heat.
What is included in the box with the BonBowl Plus?+
Just the bowl itself, with its legs and handles built in - there's no separate accessory pack.
What is the difference between the BonBowl Plus and the BonBowl?+
Both are 3mm Corten bowls. The Plus adds integrated legs and handles and tops out at 100cm; the standard BonBowl is a flush, footed bowl sold in five sizes up to 150cm. Size for size the Plus is a little taller and heavier - the 80cm is 14.5kg against the standard 80cm's 13.9kg - and its footprint is asymmetric (80 × 90cm rather than a perfect square) because the handles add to one side.
Who the BonBowl Plus is for
It is a good fit if:
- You want to move the bowl around the garden or put it away between uses - the built-in handles are the whole point.
- You want it lifted slightly further off the ground on legs, rather than sitting flush like the standard BonBowl.
Consider something else if:
- You want a size above 100cm: the BonBowl goes up to 150cm.
- You don't need to move it and want the cheaper option: at 60cm and 80cm the standard BonBowl costs less; at 100cm the Plus is actually the cheaper of the two, so check the table above for your size.
How this compares to our other BonBowl
We sell two BonFeu fire bowls under the BonBowl name, both in 3mm Corten steel. The BonBowl is a flush, footed bowl sold in five sizes from 60cm to 150cm. The BonBowl Plus adds integrated legs and handles for moving it, and is sold in three overlapping sizes, 60cm to 100cm. In our own size-for-size data the Plus is consistently a little taller and heavier than the equivalent BonBowl, and its footprint is asymmetric rather than perfectly square, which matches the handles adding roughly 10cm to one side.
| Model | Shape | Pick it for | Height | Price | Weight | Finish |

| BonBowl | Round bowl, flush base | Broadest size range, 60cm to 150cm | 17-37cm | £99.50 to £549 | 8.6-77kg | Corten Steel |
| BonBowl Plus (this one) | Round bowl, with legs and handles | Built-in handles for moving it, plus wider accessory compatibility | 18.5-27.5cm | £124.50 to £239 | 9.5-23.4kg | Corten Steel |

Bought this firepit to complement our garden. Looks amazing and is really sturdy. Went for the smaller version so that I could lift more easily but wish I bought the larger one now.
As described. Great quality and arrived quickly.
