The Planika Misty rewrites that: a freestanding water-vapour fireplace that produces a startlingly realistic flame using mist and LED light, with zero combustion, zero smoke and a plug into a standard 13A socket.

At its heart is Planika's Optimyst technology, which atomises water from a built-in 1-litre tank and lights it with ActiveLED to create the illusion of dancing flames. Six flame-height settings give you everything from a quiet ember to a full hearth, all controlled by remote or mobile app. The 125W draw is comparable to a desktop lamp, and a single tank gives up to ten hours of continuous use. Filling is a matter of removing the tank and topping it with filtered or distilled water.
