• Design and Materials:
  • Genuine Mexican clay chimenea, hand-made and hand-painted, so shapes and colours vary slightly piece to piece.
  • Comes complete with its metal stand and clay lid. No assembly required.
• Heat and Use:
  • Burns dry wood logs or charcoal. Clay chimeneas are efficient burners: the clay body heats up and radiates warmth, so you don't need a roaring fire.
  • Do not burn coal. Unlike Gardeco's cast iron range, coal burns too hot for fired clay.
• What to Know:
  • The paint finish will discolour with firing and weathering over time. This does not affect use, and the chimenea can be repainted.
  • Clay can crack if it gets waterlogged or freezes while wet, so cover it or bring it in over winter. Gardeco offers no guarantee against cracking or paint finish, which is standard across all handmade Mexican clay chimeneas.
  • Two people make it easier to move and position, given the weight and the risk of chipping the clay.
