Overview:
- Stix takes its shape from a cluster of stainless steel tubes rather than a table or bowl, a design by Barcelona-based Hiroshi Tsunoda that picked up the Good Design Award (Australia, 2011), DesignEx Best New Product (2011) and a US IIDA/HD Award for Excellence (2011).

- At 14kg it is genuinely portable: no gas connection, no fixed installation, just an ethanol burner you can move between patio, balcony or indoors. The 2.5 litre AB3 burner gives 1.7kW (5,800 BTU/h), noticeably gentler than the table-format products in this range, and burns for 8 to 11 hours per fill.

Stix questions, answered
Can the Stix be used indoors?
Yes, on bioethanol. It needs a room of at least 40m³ (1,413 ft³).
How is the Stix delivered, and will I need help getting it into place?
Delivery is free to UK mainland, and it comes on a pallet to the easiest access point on your property, usually the driveway or the front of the house. It is not brought inside, unpacked or assembled. It is light enough for one person to carry into place. It weighs 14kg and is 55.7cm x 55.6cm across. If access is tight, message us before ordering and we will talk it through.
What does the Stix actually cost to run for an evening?
A full 2.5 litre fill burns for 8-11 hours. We sell e-NRG bioethanol at £65 for a 20 litre carton, so a full fill is about £8 and a three-hour evening works out at roughly £2 to £3. There is no standing cost, since it only uses fuel while it is alight.
Does the Stix need professional installation?
No. It runs on bioethanol only, with no flue, no gas line and no installation of any kind.
What is the difference between Stix and Stix 8?
Same sculptural tubular-steel design, but different burners: Stix runs the smaller AB3 (1.7kW / 5,800 BTU/h), Stix 8 the larger AB8 (6kW / 20,433 BTU/h). Stix 8 is also bigger, heavier and only comes in Black; Stix comes in Stainless Steel or Black.

Which fuel does the Stix burn, and do you sell it?
It runs on e-NRG bioethanol, which we stock in 20 litre cartons. Bioethanol produces no smoke, embers or ash, so there is no flue and nothing to clear out afterwards.
Can I leave the Stix outside all year?
Yes. It is built to handle a full UK outdoor season. For extra protection we sell a fitted cover, a sensible way to keep rain and debris off it over winter.
Who Stix is for
It is a good fit if:
- You want a genuinely sculptural, campfire-inspired centrepiece rather than a table or bowl, and you rate the design itself: Stix is by Barcelona-based designer Hiroshi Tsunoda.
- You want the lightest, most portable option: at 14kg it's one of the lightest pieces we stock.
- Ambience matters more than heat output: it's built around a smaller flame than the rest of our range.
Consider something else if:
- You want more heat: Stix 8 runs the bigger AB8 burner in the same sculptural style.
