Overview:
- A sculptural fire pit built from tubular stainless steel 'sticks,' Stix 8 is the larger sibling to EcoSmart's original award-winning Stix, designed by Barcelona-based Hiroshi Tsunoda.

Design & Build:
- Stainless Steel Grade 304 throughout, in Black only. At 30.9kg two people are recommended to move it into its final position, though it is still far lighter than most of our range. Being genuinely Indoor or Outdoor it works equally well by the sofa or out on the patio.

Fuel:
- It runs on Bioethanol only, no gas option on this model, with an AB8 burner delivering 6kW (20,433 BTU/h) and a 7 to 9 hour burn from 8 litres.

What it does well:
- Its tubular geometric design is unlike anything else in this range, and the AB8 burner gives it real Indoor or Outdoor flexibility that the round Mix bowls don't have.

Trade-off worth knowing:
- It only comes in Black. If you want to switch finishes the way you can with the concrete tables, this isn't that.
Stix 8 questions, answered
Can the Stix 8 be used indoors?
Yes, on bioethanol. It needs a room of at least 116m³ (4,097 ft³).
How is the Stix 8 delivered, and will I need help getting it into place?
Delivery is free to UK mainland, and it comes on a pallet to the easiest access point on your property, usually the driveway or the front of the house. It is not brought inside, unpacked or assembled. Plan on two people to move it the last stretch. It weighs 30.9kg and is 79.2cm x 79.2cm across. If access is tight, message us before ordering and we will talk it through.
What does the Stix 8 actually cost to run for an evening?
A full 8 litre fill burns for 7-9 hours. We sell e-NRG bioethanol at £65 for a 20 litre carton, so a full fill is about £26 and a three-hour evening works out at roughly £9 to £11. There is no standing cost, since it only uses fuel while it is alight.
Does the Stix 8 need professional installation?
No. It runs on bioethanol only, with no flue, no gas line and no installation of any kind.
What is the difference between Stix 8 and Stix?
Same sculptural tubular-steel design, but different burners: Stix 8 runs the larger AB8 (6kW / 20,433 BTU/h), Stix the smaller AB3 (1.7kW / 5,800 BTU/h). Stix 8 only comes in Black; Stix comes in Stainless Steel or Black.
Which fuel does the Stix 8 burn, and do you sell it?
It runs on e-NRG bioethanol, which we stock in 20 litre cartons. Bioethanol produces no smoke, embers or ash, so there is no flue and nothing to clear out afterwards.
Can I leave the Stix 8 outside all year?
Yes. It is built to handle a full UK outdoor season. For extra protection we sell a fitted cover, a sensible way to keep rain and debris off it over winter.
Who Stix 8 is for
It is a good fit if:
- You want the same sculptural, campfire-inspired design as Stix, but with real heat behind it: the AB8 burner puts out 6kW / 20,433 BTU/h against Stix's 1.7kW / 5,800 BTU/h.
- You want a genuine outdoor centrepiece rather than a purely ambient flame.
Consider something else if:
- You want the lightest, most portable option, or a stainless steel finish: the original Stix is lighter, cheaper, and offers Stainless Steel as well as Black.
- At 30.9kg it is heavier than Stix's 14kg.
