Overview:
- At 61cm square and just 49.9kg, the Sidecar 24 is our smallest-footprint gas-capable table, and one of the lighter pieces in the range.

Design & Build:
- Fluid Concrete Composite top with a Stainless Steel Grade 304 burner surround, in Natural, Graphite or Bone. Pairs with Blinde Design's Fluid Concrete Cube 24 side tables to build out a combined fire pit and seating cluster.

Fuel:
- Three fuel options: Bioethanol for indoor or outdoor use, or Liquid Propane and Natural Gas for outdoor use only. Bioethanol delivers 6kW (20,433 BTU/h) with a 7 to 9 hour burn from 8 litres. Gas runs hotter, up to 65,000 BTU/h: Liquid Propane lasts 8 to 20 hours per tank, Natural Gas burns for as long as you leave it on.

- This model is certified to EN 16647, the UK and EU safety standard for indoor bioethanol fireplaces.

What it does well:
- At under 50kg, it is lighter than most tables in the range, though we still recommend two people to move it into its final position.

Trade-off worth knowing:
- There's no Teak finish here, just Natural, Graphite or Bone. For a timber look, the Gin 90 or Base 30 range carries it instead.
Natural Gas requires professional installation: a certified plumber must fit a permanent gas connection before use. This installation is not included in the price and is not arranged by us; it is the customer's responsibility. Liquid Propane needs no installation and runs from an external tank.

Can the Sidecar 24 be used indoors?
Yes, on bioethanol. It needs a room of at least 116m³ (4,097 ft³). The Liquid Propane and Natural Gas versions are for outdoor use only.
How is the Sidecar 24 delivered, and will I need help getting it into place?
Delivery is free to UK mainland, and it comes on a pallet to the easiest access point on your property, usually the driveway or the front of the house. It is not brought inside, unpacked or assembled. Plan on two people to move it the last stretch. It weighs 49.9kg and is 61cm x 61cm across. If access is tight, message us before ordering and we will talk it through.
What does the Sidecar 24 actually cost to run for an evening?
On bioethanol: a full 8 litre fill burns for 7-9 hours. We sell e-NRG bioethanol at £65 for a 20 litre carton, so a full fill is about £26 and a three-hour evening works out at roughly £9 to £11. There is no standing cost, since it only uses fuel while it is alight. Liquid Propane and Natural Gas running costs depend on your tank/meter supplier, so we cannot quote a fixed figure for those.
Does the Sidecar 24 need professional installation?
Only the Natural Gas version. That needs a certified plumber to fit a permanent gas connection before use; the installation is not included in the price and is not arranged by us. Bioethanol and Liquid Propane need no installation, and Liquid Propane runs from an external tank you can disconnect and move.
What is the difference between the Sidecar 24 and the Base 30?
Same AB8 burner, same heat. Sidecar 24 is our smallest table in the EcoSmart range at 61cm x 61cm; Base 30 is bigger at 77.6cm x 77.6cm and is the only one of the two with a teak finish.
Which fuel does the Sidecar 24 burn, and do you sell it?
The bioethanol version runs on e-NRG bioethanol, which we stock in 20 litre cartons. Bioethanol produces no smoke, embers or ash, so there is no flue and nothing to clear out afterwards.
Can I leave the Sidecar 24 outside all year?
Yes. The concrete composite is made to handle a full UK outdoor season; a twice-yearly coat of clear polymer sealer keeps it looking new (see the manufacturer's care guide).
Who the Sidecar 24 is for
It is a good fit if:
- You have the smallest space to fill: at 61cm x 61cm, it's the most compact table in the EcoSmart range, built to work standalone or paired with other furniture.
- You want clean, simple square lines rather than a bowl or a bigger table.
Consider something else if:
- You have more room to fill: the Base 30 offers the same square shape at a bigger 77.6cm x 77.6cm, with a teak option.
- Your room is smaller than 116m³ (4,097 ft³) and you want to burn it indoors.
How this compares to our other compact fire pits
Pod 30, Sidecar 24 and Base 30 are our three compact AB8 pieces, all under 80cm and all running the same burner, so heat and running cost are identical across the three. Unlike our 100cm range they aren't the same footprint: this is a genuine size and shape comparison, not one design in different bodies.
