Planika Arcticon | Bioethanol Remote Controlled Indoor Fireplace | Black or White

The Planika Arcticon is an automatic bioethanol fireplace that brings a real flame indoors without a flue, chimney, or building work. Its BEV burner produces a clean, natural-looking flame at up to 3.5 kW, enough to warm a medium-sized living room, and a single fuel fill lasts up to 33 hours. The panoramic glass enclosure gives an unobstructed view of the flame from every angle in the room, which distinguishes the Arcticon from closed-front bioethanol units that hide the fire behind a panel.

Control is fully remote: flame height, a programmable timer, and a child lock all operate from the handset without leaving the sofa. Available in matte black or white, both suit contemporary and transitional interiors. Planika fireplaces carry CE certification and are designed for indoor use in standard UK ventilation conditions. Installation is a one-person job, typically under an hour. This is the piece we recommend when a customer wants a real flame in a room where a gas or log-burner flue is not possible, a flat, a room extension, or a listed building where structural work is not an option.

Arcticon questions, answered

Who the Arcticon is for

It is a good fit if:

• Rooms without a chimney or flue option, flats, extensions, listed buildings, where you still want a genuinely warming flame rather than a decorative one.
• Buyers who want the longest run-time between refills in our bioethanol range.
• Anyone who wants the flame visible from all sides rather than through a single glass panel.

Consider something else if:

• Very small rooms: 35 cubic metres minimum is specified for safe ventilation.
• Buyers on a tighter budget: the most expensive of our four Planika models.
• You specifically want a water-vapour flame with zero combustion: see Misty or Steamy instead.
