How much does the Spot 2800W cost to run?
At 2,800W and the current Ofgem price cap unit rate of 26.11p/kWh (Jul-Sep 2026), running it flat out costs around 73p per hour.
Can the Spot 2800W be controlled with an app or smart home system?
Yes. It's compatible with the ZigBee Bridge, Wireless Switch and Motion Sensor, plus the Dual WiFi Smart Switch, all sold separately.
Can the Spot 2800W be recessed flush into the ceiling?
Yes, using the Lift system together with the Spot 2800 Lift Box and Spot 2800 Lift Frame - all three are needed for the flush-recess install.
Is there weather protection available?
Yes, the Weathershield 3 is designed for this model, for installations where no covering is possible.
Does the Spot 2800W need professional installation?
It needs a qualified electrician for the fixed wall or ceiling wiring; this isn't included in the price.
What's the difference between the Spot 2800W and Spot 1600W?
