Skal Fire Pit questions, answered

How do I move the Skal around the garden?

Two handles let you carry it without tipping or dragging.

Does the Skal include anywhere for the ash?

Yes, an ashtray is supplied so ash collects there rather than the base of the pit.

What are the dimensions and weight of the Skal?

It measures 39 x 39 x H45cm and weighs 2.6kg.

What is the Skal made from?

Black steel, built around vertical bars for an open, all-round view of the fire.

How quickly will my Skal arrive?

It carries free next day delivery to UK mainland addresses on orders placed before midday on a weekday; remote parts of Scotland, Wales, Devon and Cornwall may incur an additional charge.

Fire pit or outdoor fireplace: which is better for a UK garden?

An outdoor fireplace and a fire pit are not interchangeable. The Skal is the fire pit side of that choice: it's open with no flue, radiating heat in every direction so people can sit all the way round it. An outdoor fireplace instead stands upright with a chimney, throwing heat forward from a single opening. Choose a fire pit when the fire itself should be the centre of the circle, not to one side of it.
